Guided self-help involves working through self-help materials specific to your difficulties with support from one of our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs).
We have a range of self-help workbooks that cover a variety of different clinical difficulties and will provide you with your own free workbook at your first guided self-help session if this is the treatment that you choose.
People receive up to six 30-minute sessions of guided help with sessions normally being fortnightly. Most people prefer to attend sessions face-to-face but we can also provide telephone support if this is your preference.
All our PWPs have completed an accredited postgraduate certificate in low-intensity interventions and are experienced in working with a number of difficulties. We also have some trainee PWPs who are very well-supervised and able to see you sooner if you are happy to work with them.
